About This Blog

Hi Everybody,
Sadly, it did not work out, so I just have a couple of regular hives, but I will be blogging them if I remember. :)

The reason for this blog is that I was given the chance to keep and work with two hives. Well, you say, why this blog about that??? Well, to clear a couple of things up, one. I will have my other hive reports here also, two. These hives are different. I was contacted by Michael Cook, who is selling honeybee packages from Ray down in California. Ray was giving him four packages of honeybees. I cannot tell you what they are called because they have no name yet. :) Ray has been breeding these queens for the last 6 years, and has done no treatments at all for the last three years. There has been no mites or problems found as far as I know. These queens are supposed to be wet, cold and mite resistant. I am not allowed to treat them.
So Michael contacted me about raising two of them for Ray. So I am going to raise two of these packages, and I will be logging everything about these hives on this blog.
